STEEL DECKING Lightweight with super-strength

Our design and fabrication process maximize the properties of the steel to create a high strength-to-weight ratio. This reduces the costs of materials, handling and assembly while ensuring durability—and we have more than 40 years of proof.

Our steel decking can be used on top of open web joists, structural steel, light gauge framing and masonry walls. It has an attractive and uniform appearance. Our decking has 1 1/2” deep ribs 6” on center and is available in a variety of gauges and finishes.

Roof deck products, such as ExSteel’s RD-156, have been used as the structural component of flat, pitched and arched roof systems for decades. ExSteel’s roof decking has excellent diaphragm action, which provides lateral force distribution that reduces the bracing required in the structure.

A composite system using steel deck and concrete is achieved by adding mechanical embossments to the web of the deck. In this system, the steel deck provides the tensile reinforcement while the concrete carries the compression loads. CD-156 can eliminate the need for forming and rebar in a concrete floor system, reducing labour and material costs.
